About PFLAG
Our Lawrenceville Chapter
Our Vision
PFLAG envisions a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued, and affirmed inclusive of their sexual development (intersex variation), sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.
Our Mission
Our mission is to build on a foundation of loving families united with LGBTQIA+ people and allies who support one another, and to educate ourselves, and our communities to speak up as advocates until all hearts and minds respect, value, and affirm LGBTQIA+ individuals.

Founded in 1973, PFLAG is the first and largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQIA+) people, their parents and families, and allies. Through support, education, and advocacy, we are committed to creating a world where diversity is celebrated and all are respected, valued, and affirmed.
PFLAG Lawrenceville is part of the Gulf Region of PFLAG National. Our Lawrenceville chapter was founded in May 2021 in response to the growing need in the community for LGBTQIA+ resources in Gwinnett and surrounding counties in the east metro Atlanta area. We are dedicated to supporting PFLAG's mission by offering monthly support/discussion groups, educational events, and advocacy opportunities.
We provide safe spaces for open and friendly discussions for LGBTQIA+ adults (18+), teens and teen allies (13-17), and all other adult family, friends & allies of the LGBTQIA+ community.
We strive to learn and teach others about the unique issues and challenges faced by the LGBTQIA+ community.
Please email us if you would like to arrange an educational event for your office, school, church, community group or other organization.
We work within our communities to change attitudes and push for policies and legislation that will bring full equality for all LGBTQIA+ individuals.
